Rejoice evermore, Pray without ceasing, in all things give thanks...

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

I'm constantly reminding myself of a few key things that serve to keep me grounded. One of these keys answers the question of "what is God's will for me?". I've heard this question multiple times from friends and family and have shared this verse in hopes to offer some insight.

1 Thessalonians 5:15-18:
15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

The entire chapter is really a higher calling for all but honing in on these versus really sets us up to know God's will for our lives... which more often than not, its not what we think or deem it to be. Yet even in this we find the heartbeat of God directing our steps closer towards him.

The essence of this is not to create carbon copies of each other but more so of Him (our author and finisher). As we are rejoicingpraying and giving thanks in every thing, we will be drawn into his presence and into knowing Him more intimately.
